Applications

Slope Stability

Maximising your site or developable area is made possible with Keller’s wide range of solutions to ensure slope stability. This can be achieved by improving the soils underlying new embankments or fills utilizing Dynamic Replacement or Vibro-replacement or Dry Soil Mixing techniques. In cuts, soft clay soils can be improved using Dry Soil Mixing with slope angles of greater than 1:1 being achievable.

Often potentially unstable slopes are difficult to access and in this scenario Micro-piles can provide a good solution to slope stability improvement. Combinations of inclined piles together with capping beams can be used to improve large slope areas.

Traditional bored or secant pile walls offer the most robust solution where development needs to take place on a site with an active landslip. Sometimes the necessary stiffness can only be attained by combining a piled wall with Permanent Ground Anchors which, if necessary can be installed up to 50m in length in order to intersect any slip circle.
