Reclamation

Land reclamation often requires the improvement of large volumes of soft or loose material. Vibro-Compaction is regularly used to densify large volumes of dredged Sand to depths in excess of 30m. The work is performed both on land and offshore.

Dredged mud, typically consisting of silt and clay cannot be compacted using vibratory means however the material can be improved by long term drainage or more rapidly by the installation of Dry Soil Mix columns or Mass Mixing
